California Privacy Notice

In short

This notice is for California residents and adds to our Privacy Policy. SaveCub (go.savecub.com), operated by DO Media, never asks for your name, phone, email or address. What we collect is tied to a random referral ID, not to you by name.

What we collect, and where it comes from

• Identifiers: a random referral ID and session ID, and ad click IDs that arrive in the ad link (fbclid, gclid, gbraid, wbraid). When the Meta Pixel runs, Meta's cookie IDs (_fbp, _fbc), your IP address and your browser's user-agent string also go to Meta (see below); we don't store them.
• General location: your state, from the ad link or your choice, and the ZIP code you type (we store only its first three digits).
• Answers you give: how many cars you insure and whether you're insured now.
• Internet activity on our pages: page and quiz events, device type, and campaign details from the ad link.

We get this from you and your browser while you use the page, and from the ad platform through the link you tapped. Meta collects the pixel data directly from your browser on our page. We collect no sensitive personal information.

Why we use it and who receives it

We use it to run the quiz, send you to our partner's form, measure which ads and pages work, stop abuse, and match the partner's reports and payments to our records. We keep it for 13 months, then delete it automatically.

• Our partner (SaveCubAuto, run by a separate company) receives our affiliate ID, your referral ID, a traffic-source label and your ZIP code when you tap Continue. The partner may pay us for referrals, so this may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under California law.
• Meta (Meta Platforms, Inc.) receives, through the Meta Pixel and its Conversions API, your page view and your tap through to the partner's form, a random event ID (for the tap, your referral ID), the address of our page, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string and Meta's cookie IDs or the ad click ID from the ad link. Never your name, phone, email, ZIP code, state or quiz answers. We use it to measure which ads lead people to the partner's form; Meta may use it as described in its own policies, including for ads. This may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law.
• Service providers that run the site for us: Vercel (hosting) and Neon (database).

We don't knowingly sell or share the information of anyone under 16.

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

You can opt out in any of these ways. Once you opt out, we don't pass your ZIP code to the partner, don't record page or quiz events, don't load the Meta Pixel and don't send Meta anything about your visit. We still keep the referral record needed to reconcile payments, without campaign details or ad click IDs. The partner link still carries our affiliate ID and the referral ID; to avoid that entirely, visit savecubauto.com directly instead of tapping Continue.

• Global Privacy Control: if your browser or an extension sends it, we treat it as an opt-out automatically.
• Email: write to support@savecub.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share".

The button and GPC work per browser and device, because we don't know who you are.

Your other rights

You can ask to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, or to delete it. Because we keep no name or contact details, we need your referral ID to find your record. It is the pcid value in the web address of the partner page you opened. We act only when one record clearly matches, and if we can't find one we'll tell you. Someone you authorize can ask for you, with your written permission. We reply within 45 days. If we turn down a request, reply with "Appeal" in the subject line. We won't treat you differently for using any of these rights.
